Some interesting small items.

1 – NO WHISKEY

There was no whiskey allowed to be sold in the Isle of Man before the year 1852.

2 – CHANGE OF THE TIDE

They (the people) thought that births and deaths frequently happened at the change of tide.

3 – NEW BORN CHILD

Some of the hair of a newly-born child was placed in a tree, and if the hairs were carried away by a singing bird to make her nest, the child would be a musician.
