Isle of Kids?

I have heard an old story that long ago there used to be a great deal of kids on the top of the mountains or on the headlands of the Isle of Man, and that raiders called it the “Island of Kids”.

The kid might have been the holy animal or totem of the Manx.

(In Manx a kid is ‘mannan’ and kids are ‘mannanyn’).
